The Alexandria A Cappella Collective (AACC) is a volunteer arts organization bringing exciting and meaningful choral performances to the Washington, DC area and beyond. AACC is made up of three ensembles and counting, including The Harmonizers, Metro Voices, and Capital Force, our seasonal youth chorus. The AACC ensembles specialize in one of the most challenging forms of choral singing: barbershop harmony. Our adult ensembles are multi-generational, with singers ranging in age from their teens to their eighties. We are amateur singers who create a professional, award-winning sound and have a great time doing it.
From community workshops to major concerts, AACC’s 2026 season brings a wide range of performances and community events across Alexandria and beyond.
In March, the season begins with Harmony Day for DC public school students, participation in the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) Southern Division convention, and the Capital Force end of season showcase. In June, supporters can attend the Contest Send-Off before The Harmonizers and Metro Voices travel to compete at the BHS International Convention. The Fall Show in September and the Alfred Street Fellowship concert in October continue the season of performances.
The year concludes in December with AACC’s Holiday Show and the festive Carol Crawl through Old Town Alexandria.
