Registration will open again in late summer for rising 8 – 12th grade students to be part of a young singing community, singing with others in the a cappella style (no preparation needed), hearing some fantastic performances by world-class singers, enjoying refreshments, and getting in on the ground floor of our brand-new seasonal youth chorus — CAPITAL FORCE!
Rehearsals begin in October, with an end-of-season concert sometime in March next year.
We are thrilled to partner with the District of Columbia Public Schools (“DCPS”) to host DCPS Harmony, an immersive youth choral festival held in the spring. Featuring AACC directors as the lead clinicians and a championship-level barbershop quartet as the teaching quartet, DCPS Harmony provides an enriching and entertaining educational experience through the unique medium of barbershop-style a cappella close harmony. Over 100 talented students learn two songs, receive top-quality musical education, and participate in a public performance that same afternoon.
